Hello Blooming Fire! It is so great to speak with you!
It's great speaking with you as well, Thanks for getting to know us.
You all are gearing up for the release of your visual EP! Will you talk a bit about the project?
We are so excited to bring everyone a visual element to our last release Dunia. The Dunia Visual Experience consists of 4 videos and 1 wild and psychedelic coming of age story. Viewers will have the opportunity to travel through a wormhole into another dimension! If you're in, click here: https://www.bloomingfiremusic.com/dunia-visual-experience
What inspired you all to make the visual component to this EP?
We really wanted to put out something fresh outside of our Youtube series and we're still working on all of our new music so we're kind of in this inbetween moment. We never created a visual element for our last EP Dunia, so we decided to go all in and create 4 music videos at once and it was a crazy decision.
What was the creative process like for it?
A wild ride that we honestly didn't think we could pull off. There were so many moments where we were racing the clock and still are, as we are deep in the editing process. We wrote the entire concept as a band, with the help of our co-director/ videographer/ editor NateO, we filmed and produced the entire video ourselves. We had plenty of friends volunteer to appear as different characters throughout the video and our budget was close to none. We filmed over 10 locations for 3 months straight in between working regular jobs, producing new demos and approaching Ian's shoulder surgery (one of our lead vocalists) We filmed every chance we had, every weekend was dedicated to wildling down a huge shot list and we can't even believe we've made it this far.
What was the most difficult obstacle you all had to overcome to get it done?
As cliche as it sounds, time. We already cherish the time we find to create art together and had to come up with more availability than usual.
What has been the most rewarding part of the process so far?
Just accomplishing the task of filming all of the ideas has been a huge reward, now that we're seeing the footage back it's so exciting!
