What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?
Music for us from a young age was a means of escape from the harsh reality in which we grew up. It was a means of expression, identification, courage and a way of managing intense emotions. You see, we were not the children of rich parents and we grew up with few. We grew up in neighborhoods with friends who shared the same way of life with us. So we learned to use music sometimes to calm down and calm down and sometimes to wake up and motivate each other. Music was the field of spiritual practice for us to face the current situation.
We would probably do sports professionally as he is still one of our allies in life. There has always been a love for sports and a passion. so, if we had not ended up in music surely our direction would be analogous to sports for professional purposes.
What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?
We really like to travel and get to know the cultures from people in other parts of the country and abroad. This fills us and helps us to understand the world in which we are better and at a greater depth, something that also helps us creatively to compose music. We love nature and admire it. We also visit places of exotic geological beauty which helps us to connect with the environment on a larger scale than living in cement cities.
How long has your band been around ?
It all started in 2013 and continues to this day. ??????? ???? ??? ????? 2 lp albums (Space Nest and Empty Nest), 1 ep album (Kulning) and 1 single album (Documento). Also quite visually like videoclips and lyrics video.
Where are you based out of and how did that influence your music ?
Well, Psychedelic Heavy Stoner Rock is the base where we stand to built our musical creations. On that base you can find influences from 90’s , 2000 and on. From our point of view we don’t play original stoner rock we are only influenced our sound by it. When we create we do not put rules that limit our potential. We try to use all these influences we have as musicians and as fans of many music genres trying to filter them and use what we believe that fits best on our ideas.
How did you come up with the name of your band and what does it mean to you ?
The idea of the name is a combination of admiration of the fox as an animal and the way it survives in nature that inspire us but also of the way of hunting its prey. At the same time we wanted a word that can reflect our spirit we share as a band, as friends and family , so that’s why “Grande”.
Tell me about your most memorable shows
For sure a memorable show was at Cyprus alongside Nightstalker and Freddie from Eurovion. We shared a big stage and a wonderful night. Also Germany , Berlin at the historical rock club “Blackland” where people there were very friendly and shared awesome vibes while we performed.
What is your favorite venue to play at , and do you have any places you want to play that you have not already ?
Hellfest would be the best venue to play, that we haven’t already. Its the ultimate dream of the band .
If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket ?
Tough answer to give but here some bands we can think the moment we speak : Godsmack , Kyuss , My sleeping Karma, TruckFighters, Clutch
Of your songs which one means the most to you and why ?
That would be “Psychotropic” as it was one of our first songs ever and has a deep meaning in lyrics and music which is connected strongly to an era full of emotion and hard way of living.
Which songs are your favorite to play and which get requested the most ?
Lately we are more into the more groovy songs like Deathblow , Rottenness of youth etc from our new album but we dont have favorites , all songs came up from inside of our souls so for each one of them we feel different and unique things. Usually more requested are the straight ones like Burned Beard or even more Spacey ones like Oriental War.
What is the creative process for the band, and what inspires you to write your music ?
We don’t have certain way to create music. Usually when someone has an idea we start working on it. We don’t follow rituals , we are just being true to what our feelings and instinct says.
What kinds of messages do you like to get across in your music ?
Messages for spiritual awareness , for supporting each other , for love and understanding, against racism fascism and any form of violence.
Do you ever have disagreements in your band, and how do you get past them ?
Sometimes we do have but in a more creative way under good intentions. Having disagreements is not bad , that gives us more character in what we do , trying always to find the golden ratio. We just give time to ourselves to understand more each other , with as less ego as possible , always looking the big picture.
What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up ?
Live gigs for sure !!!
But also more visuals on our latest release lp album Empty Nest !!!
