Q-What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?
A-The mystique of guitars had such a potency on me. I may be exploring writing novels, directing movies, or some other creative art form now if not for music, perhaps I’d have turned to a life of crime... or become a priest.
Q-What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?
A-I like to listen to interviews of my favorite artists, music, film, authors etc... it’s inspiring, motivational, educational, entertaining, and so on.
Q-Where are you based out of and how did that influence your music?
A-Los Angles California, However the most important period in my songwriting transpired over a one year period in Barcelona Spain. I was selected for a Berklee College Of Music program directly after graduating high school. All at once I was thrust into an environment with all the freedom in the world. I made friends with fellow musicians from my program, we started rehearsing, recording, and performing my songs. I had worked on my craft of songwriting extensively up until that point but during that year in Barcelona Spain it clicked for me.
Q-If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?
A-It would be held in a wide open field, like a festival grounds, with tons of people in record setting attendance. I’d have my buddies in my band and we’d deliver the performance of a lifetime.
Q-If you could go back in time and give yourselves advice, what would it be?
A-Start Meditating
Q-Of your songs which one means the most to you and why?
A-All of them I put on my album mean the most. Music is a big part of me and these songs are very much who I am.
Q-What kinds of messages do you like to get across in your music?
A-Well the songs can say things that are abstract, that the written or spoken word can’t say all by itself. Words help forsure but melody, rhythm, and chords are the extremely primal human language, music.
Q-What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up?
I just released my debut album Right As Rain 💽
