What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?

I fell in love with music when I first listened to my parents 7 inch singles of the everly brothers & cilla black. But when I first heard heavy rock that made up my mind. If I wasn’t making music I’d still be an artist. Art is everything, creativity and ideas and inventing are everything.

What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?

I walk in nature or swim in the sea .. and I like to write poetry and paint. It (nature) effects everything and inspires art.

How long has your band been around?

This lineup has been around since 2019

Where are you based and how did that influence your music?

We are based in belfast and it’s had a massive influence on my music

How did you come up with the name of your band and what does it mean to you?

I came up with it in 2014, I wanted a single word band name like PIXIES … RHINOS just fitted the bill.. plus Rhinos been around for billions of years, they are old and resilient

Tell me about your most memorable shows.

We haven’t played many tbh.

What is your favorite venue to play at, and do you have any places you want to play that you have not already?

I like to play in the Black Box Belfast

If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?

If would be FUGAZI, JAMES BROWN, SANTANA, SHELLAC, ABBA, iggy pop.

What is some advice that you would give to someone who is just getting into playing in a band and some advice that you would give to your younger self?

Stick with it, don’t listen to critics listen to the bar staff and door men ask their advice on what’s working.

If you could go back in time and give yourselves advice, what would it be?

 See above

Of your songs which one means the most to you and why?

 Kick A Brick & Whiteling

Which songs are your favorite to play and which get requested the most?

I love to play RHINOS & a song called STRIP

What is the creative process for the band, and what inspires you to write your music?

Music inspires me, all of itx

What kinds of messages do you like to get across in your music?

Do you ever have disagreements in your band, and how do you get past them?

No no disagreements ..generally  u.  chilled..
