Interview- The Adam
What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?
My mom said that I had to start doing something after school. Then it happened to be guitar lessons. If I didn’t get into music, I would do what I’m doing today, films.
What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?
I like to make films and photos which can be equated with all other creative processes.
How long have you been making music?
24 years.
Where are you based out of and how did that influence your music?
I am from Denmark but living in Norway and I don't think it influences my music. What influences my music is what I like; British music from the 1960´s and '90s.
Tell me about your most memorable shows, if you haven’t played live what is your vision for a live show?
That must be at Roskilde festival in 2008.
What is your favorite venue to play at, and do you have any places you want to play that you have not already?
I like best to play clubs with 200-400 people. But would love to play Glastonbury.
If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?
The Good The Bad.
What is some advice that you would give to someone who is just getting into making music and some advice that you would give to your younger self?
Never take advice.
Of your songs which one means the most to you and why?
One day a song means a lot to me and another day it means nothing. So can't pick one out. But today I like “Cathy”.
Which songs are your favorite to play and which get requested the most?
I like to play all of my songs, but I don't play requests.
What is your creative process, and what inspires you to write your music?
A creative process is not something I can put into words. It happens when it happens and when it doesn't happen, it just doesn't happen. Some people use their creative flows and others don't care to use them.
Do you have messages that you like to get across in your music, if so please tell me about them?
Believe in yourself.
What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up?
To take over the world.
How can your fans best keep up to date with you, any socials you want people to check out?
