1. What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today? I've been playing and writing music for a long time, while pursuing another career for most of that time too. I did nonprofit work as an educational researcher, trying out ways to use technology to build critical thinking skills. That 9 to 5 work gave me the money and the stability to pursue my music without stress. It’s always been challenging to find a balance between the two however. Music has been my greatest passion but having that second career made it hard to devote as much time to music as I wanted. That all changed 5 years ago, when I turned completely to music. That’s why I’ve made so many albums recently.
