Interview with Feez Da Popstar
What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?
I really think i was born with music in my blood. My Parents always played music and as a kid before i even went to school i used to pretend i had a radio station and i was the DJ.. I think if i wouldn't have gotten into music i would be a Farmer!! A city Guy turned farmer as i love to grow things.
What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?
When i'm not playing music you can definitely find me at a beach somewhere as i love the ocean. I think that really enhances my creativity as i feel free at one the world and can freely express myself.
How long have you been making music?
I have been making music for about 10 years but not taking it super seriously and letting all my expressions out until lately
Where are you based out of and how did that influence your music?
Born and raised in NY NY which greatly influenced me musically as you had alot of great influences there in every genre. Now these days i'm based in Charlotte NC and Honolulu Hi and both places culturally have influenced alot in my music all the places have allowed me to have an international sound.
Tell me about your most memorable shows, if you haven’t played live what is your vision for a live show?
Most Memorable show Thailand the energy of the packed crowed was insane. It felt like myself and the crowd has so much pent up energy inside that needed to explode out of us all and that lead to one of the most energetic shows ever!! I literally was exhausted and drained after but in a great way.
What is your favorite venue to play at, and do you have any places you want to play that you have not already?
I don't know if i have a favorite venue as all have there own vibe. But i do have places i want to play like Korea and Philippines
If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?
Aww man whew so many how about Harry Styles, Diplo, Lil Baby for starters
What is some advice that you would give to someone who is just getting into making music and some advice that you would give to your younger self?
I would say keep mastering your sound but don't get into a box do what you feel creatively and don't give up. Also invest in yourself even if you don't see it going anywhere.
Of your songs which one means the most to you and why?
I have a couple that i have not released to the world yet that means alot to me but right now its All I Need Is and why that song because i really take myself to rap vulnerability and let my feelings show.
Which songs are your favorite to play and which get requested the most?
Right now Down For You is a favorite to Play and have been the most requested with All I Need Is a close 2nd very close.
What is your creative process, and what inspires you to write your music?
My Creative process is to get on an Airplane get above the clouds look out the window and zone out and write and when i land i hit the beach and shape it up.
Do you have messages that you like to get across in your music, if so please tell me about them?
My Messages are have fun enjoy your life express yourself we are not perfect and have issues dont keep them in address them.
What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up?
Album coming stay connected also 2 new videos coming and looking forward to performing in a town near you.
