How long has your band been around? Also, please tell me about the dynamic of the band of what brought you all together.
Illusions of Grandeur “I.O.G.”, is a Theatrical Hard Rock/Fantasy Metal band based in York, PA. I.O.G. has been touring in both the United States as well as across the UK, Germany, France, and the Ukraine since 2015.
I.O.G. 's Live show and albums “The Siren Saga” is a story of the journeys, perils, and triumphs of the Siren and her warriors. The story mixes facts and fiction combining Greek and Norse Mythology, Sirens, Gods, Archangels.
Illusions of Grandeur Albums:
Part 1, “The Songs of the Siren”, released by Pavement Entertainment, August 2019 and available on all digital music outlets.
Part 2 “The Siren”, Released October 2021 on Revulsion of Spirit Records/Universal Music Group
Illusions of Grandeur’s fierce and energetic live show has gained them a legion of fans dubbed “The Siren Nation” who follow them worldwide, at live shows, and on social media.
How did you come up with the name of your band and what does it mean to you?
To dream and go for anything with Illusions of Grandeur, anything is possible if you work hard enough for it!
If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?
Korn, Avatar, In This Moment, Slipknot, Halestorm, Sepultura
What is some advice that you would give to someone who is just getting into playing in a band and some advice that you would give to your younger self?
NEVER Stop playing and always continue towards your goals, it will come true!
Which songs are your favorite to play, and which get requested the most?
Silent Suicide get requested a lot as it really tells the original story of The Siren from our debut album “The Songs of The Siren
What is the creative process for the band, and what inspires you to write your music?
The Siren and Bassist Cm write most of the music, the whole band assists with arrangement and additional musical ideas as well.
Illusions of Grandeur work from their private recording studio and York, Pa but have done additional work on the 1st two album at Sunset Sound in Los Angles California and Electric Ladyland in New York City
Do you have any new singles, videos, or albums out that you would like to tell me and your fans about?
Illusions of Grandeur has a new single and video called “Midnight” coming out 6/6/2023 worldwide on Universal Music, it’s a bit darker than our last few album as IOG is exploring different styles of music for our upcoming album “The Siren Rises” coming later in 2023
What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up?
Illusions of Grandeur in 2023 will release their 3rd album “The Siren Rises” and continue to tour in Europe and America! I.O.G. hope to go worldwide in 2023-2024
