Interview with Red Roll
Hello Red Roll! Thank you for speaking with me today!
Hello guys! It's a pleasure! Thank you for having us here!
You just released an album! Will you tell us a bit about it?
"Another Way Of Silence" is our confession. Inside this album there is our deepest part, and our sickest part. We like to say that it is a journey inside the sickest part of ourselves. It is like a session with the psychologist...12 sessions! The album took shape during the lockdown in Italy. We couldn't play, we couldn't find each other.
So we started working on this album, sending us the ideas and the first home recordings via whatsapp. We started making sense of our days, we started making noise over that silence.
What was the most surreal part of the creative process ?
Everything! Each moment that brings us to this moment is special. We have so many special memories connected to this album.
I cannot describe the emotion when Universal Music said yes about the distribution of this work! You know? When we were children we were looking behind the album of our heroes and we were dreaming about the day where that logo would have been behind our cd. Now is that day.
How does it feel to finally have the full album out in the world?
That's insane! We've been working on it for 2 years and now it's out, in the world's crowd! We are really so happy about it!
What are you hoping people will take away from the record?
We hope that people can see something of themselves in the music. Something that talks to them, that keeps them company, that arouses deep emotions in them.
But all this in an energetic, direct and visceral way.
You all are playing live shows as well! How are those going?
After the release we are going to start to promote the album on tour. And for the first time we are going to the US too. In January we are touring California and during this tour we are going to play at the legendary Whisky a go go ... we are really excited about that!
What is your favorite part of playing for live audiences?
The chemistry. We love not knowing what will happen on the stage... the freedom that the stage gives to us! And we always try to live this moment with the audience, we see the concert as a great orgy of minds
Any other projects coming up you want listeners to know about!
Only live show! Please check out our website and we really hope to meet you there!
Please let everyone know where to keep up with you!
