What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today? My interest for music started in church at two years old. I loved singing in church as a child; I was excited to go every Sunday and perform. In my hometown of New Orleans, Aaron Neville stopped by my kindergarten class to sing us a song. He invited me on the piano chair next to him as he sang. I was so inspired to sing like him, and I knew that I wanted to be a singer then. Growing up I used to watch Sesame Street, and when Patti LaBelle sung about the letter “X”, I grew even more passionate about singing. By the time, Micheal Jackson’s History album was released, there was no going back for me. I knew music was a part of my soul!
